Join us for Conservation Day on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Wabashiki Fish & Wildlife Area as Scouts, families, and community members come together to make a lasting impact on our local environment. This hands-on service project will focus on identifying and removing invasive plant species that threaten native habitats and disrupt healthy ecosystems. By working together, participants will help restore natural spaces that support wildlife, improve environmental health, and preserve outdoor areas for future generations to enjoy.
Conservation is more than protecting nature for today. It is an investment in the future of our communities. Removing invasive species allows native plants to thrive, creates healthier habitats for birds and wildlife, and helps maintain cleaner, more resilient ecosystems. Whether you are an experienced outdoors enthusiast or simply looking for a meaningful way to serve, this event offers an opportunity to learn, connect with others, and put the Scout Oath and Law into action through stewardship and service. There is no cost to participate, and all are welcome to join us in making a difference at Wabashiki FWA.
Help us plan for the event by registering in advance. Bring weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy closed-toe shoes, work gloves if available, and a water bottle. Together, we can help protect and preserve one of our community's valuable natural spaces.

Veteran's Day Parade, November 11, 2026
Join Wabash Valley Scouts and Scouters as we participate in the Terre Haute Veterans Day Parade on Wednesday, November 11, 2026! This is a wonderful opportunity for our Scouts to honor the brave men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country. We invite Cub Scout packs, Scouts BSA troops, Venturing Crews, Ships, and all Scouters to join us as we show our gratitude for their service and sacrifice.
Lineup begins at 8:00 AM, with the parade starting at 10:00 AM. The lineup location and additional details will be announced after November 9, so watch for updates. Participants should wear their Class A uniforms and come ready to help us demonstrate the values of patriotism, service, respect, and gratitude.

Mega Midway 2026 is an exciting day of Scouting adventure, hands-on learning, and skill-building opportunities for youth and adult leaders alike. Hosted at Avon High School on November 14, 2026, this premier event brings together Scouts BSA members, Cub Scouts, and volunteers from across the region for a full day of engaging activities, advancement opportunities, and fellowship. Whether participants are working toward merit badges, exploring new interests, or connecting with fellow Scouts, Mega Midway offers something for everyone.
Attendees can choose from a wide variety of merit badge classes and adventures, including popular offerings such as Woodwork, Lifesaving, Chemistry, Competitive Gaming, and many more. Cub Scouts can participate in age-appropriate adventures, while adult leaders can take advantage of valuable training sessions designed to strengthen unit programs and leadership skills. With expert instructors, interactive experiences, and a vibrant atmosphere celebrating the spirit of Scouting, Mega Midway is an event you won't want to miss.
