The Veterans Memorial Museum of Terre Haute is hosting a dinner for Vietnam Veterans again this year. They have asked for help from Scouts again with the dinner. Please get this word out to the district, Troops, Packs, and anyone you know.
During the Vietnam War there was not a lot of support for our troops,, and many of our troops were never welcomed home or thanked for their service even though they served and sacrificed for our country. A dinner will be held to honor and support these Veterans on Saturday, March 28th at 5PM at American Legion 104, 2690 Fort Harrison Terre Haute.
They would like to have Scouts there starting at 4:15 PM or 4:30 PM to welcome the Veterans.
Please let Zac Divine, Cubmaster Pack 38, know if you and your Scouts can attend, and provide an estimated count if possible. Making WELCOME HOME SIGNS, thank you signs, thank you for your service, etc. is a great way to show appreciation. Please be in Class A uniforms as much as possible. We will applaud, cheer, shake hands, and thank the Veterans as they arrive. We will also present flags and help lead the Pledge of Allegiance around 6 PM. Scouts and families will then leave. We will not be part of the dinner as that is for Veterans only.
