Scouting’s awards and recognition honor the heart and spirit of the movement by celebrating the dedicated volunteers and Scouts who give their time, talents, and leadership to shape the lives of young people. These honors recognize not only years of service, but also the countless moments of mentorship, encouragement, and example that help Scouts grow in character, citizenship, and fitness. From training awards and unit‑level recognition to district and council honors, each tells a story of commitment, selflessness, and meaningful impact. By recognizing volunteer Scouters, Scouting affirms that strong programs are built on servant leadership and that the success of every Scout is made possible by adults who believe in the values of the Scout Oath and Law and live them every day.
Our awards and recognition program also celebrates the Scouts, units, and community partners who live the Scout Oath by helping other people at all times. Through sustained service, meaningful partnerships, and a shared commitment to strengthening our communities, these honorees demonstrate Scouting in action. Whether recognizing long‑term relationships with human service organizations, outstanding volunteer leadership at the unit or district level, or measurable community impact, these awards highlight the dedication, compassion, and teamwork that make a lasting difference; one Scout, one unit, and one act of service at a time.
Nominations are accepted throughout the year. If you know a deserving Scout or Scouter, we encourage you to submit a nomination using the appropriate online form linked below.
