Cub Scouts is a program within the Scouting America framework designed for children in grades K–5, focusing on building character, learning citizenship, and developing personal fitness through fun, age-appropriate activities. This youth scouting initiative emphasizes hands-on learning, teamwork, and outdoor adventure, often involving families in the journey. As Scouts earn badges by completing challenges in areas like nature, service, and skills, they also engage with other programs such as Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts, and Venturing. The program fosters confidence, kindness, and a sense of belonging within a supportive community.

Scouts BSA is a program for youth ages 11–17 that focuses on leadership, outdoor skills, and personal growth through hands-on experiences. Participants in Scouts BSA plan their own adventures, earn merit badges, and work toward ranks culminating in Eagle Scout. This youth scouting program emphasizes service, character development, and teamwork in a youth-led environment. Additionally, programs like Cub Scouts and Venturing offer younger children and young adults opportunities for growth. Scouts learn resilience, responsibility, and how to make a positive impact in their communities, while Sea Scouts provides specialized maritime experiences.
Venturing is a co-ed, youth-led program for ages 14–20 that emphasizes leadership, adventure, and personal growth through high-energy, team-based experiences. Similar to the Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, and Sea Scouts, Venturing allows crews to design their own activities, ranging from outdoor expeditions to service projects, all based on shared interests and goals. The program prioritizes mentorship, ethical decision-making, and the acquisition of lifelong skills. Through challenges and camaraderie, Venturers embody the spirit of youth scouting while committing to the Scout Oath and Law.

Sea Scouts is a co-ed program within youth scouting for ages 14–20 that focuses on maritime adventure, leadership, and seamanship. Participants learn essential boating skills, navigation, and water safety while planning and leading various aquatic activities like sailing, scuba diving, and service projects. This program fosters teamwork, confidence, and responsibility through hands-on experiences on and around the water. Like Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA, Sea Scouts adhere to the Scout Oath and Law, charting a course toward personal growth and community impact, while also aligning with the principles of Venturing.
